Bargain

For treasure naught but magic spell could win
She asked her demons 'tell me, what's your price?'
She sold her soul and inked him on her skin.
For nothing was too great a sacrifice.

So she, with gentle beauty of the moon
Did tangle with the power of the sun.
She bathed and thrived in warmth that was her boon
And trembled when at last the two were one.

The charm was brief and soon it would be broken.
This knowledge deep within her was residing.
He didn't hear the whispered plea she'd spoken
With stars and tongues and tears and souls colliding.

'Oh, who can make this time stop if I say to?
When truly, you're the only God I pray to?'
