Come rain and chilly Autumn days With words of thanks in ear, And colored views to all amaze Begins the ending of the year

With cooler air and warmer hue, The aster all but none, A season gone, then one anew The pine and fir have won

Aquilon's breath with leaves abound- The curling inland wave; It aids the frosting of the ground An icy road to pave

Looking out upon the scape Of orange and brown and red; Although we know they're suff'ring They share their hope instead

The fiery woods stand tall and proud, Knowing well they'll soon be bare; This rebel display shown every Fall Lends me only to stop and stare
