Starling silence,

hear your callosal explosion.

Destroying any senses, taking my focus hostage.

Leaving third degree pulsating blisters

across my skin.

Hard to decipher rather

it's lust

or your soul

on the other end.

Can I leave

regret

on your lips?

Defining a dilapidating carousel.

Snipped heads of thoroughbreds.

A virtue long lost in

numerous rides and caresses

refusing to let go.

Virgins to this purgatory, but not to each other.

Trying to steal an hour from time

if only to hold hands and forget

how we got here.

Afraid that evolution

will tear us apart.

Your obsession

with chipped diamond ,and my need

to bathe in gloom

brought us together

Alluring from afar ,yet

hazardous within proximity.

Deteriorating crystals latched onto

shattered concrete being held by

mangled thread.

We are on a bridge

between

eroding hearts and ignorant bliss.

Neither have decided to move.

Under our feet

are writhing bodies

you've branded kisses on,

and tossed in your wishing well.

By your side

wondering

if you're going to

throw me over.

Or ask me.

To walk with you

in a circle you don't even realize

you're trapped in.

Scruse.
