This is a satire about commas and their misuse. I hope you appreciate how hard I had to work to misuse every comma in this piece :P

It is sad, how often Comma is misused.
She only wants to help,
she only wants to put things in their right order
but she gets thrown around, like a worn unthanked broom.

Admittedly she is not of noble birth,
she was not destined to wear gold, or silk finery
but she was intended to be a lady, of dignity and decorum.

I do not mean to suggest that she lacks dignity
but her acquaintances do not afford her the dignity, that becomes her.

You may think that you honor her
but as I have watched, her history unfold
no plebeian craftsman or scholar has treated her properly.

I can accept the possibility, that there are those who honor her
but until I see it I cannot relinquish, my lament.
