FREE AT LAST

The sun is out

I feel the warmth on my face

Done with all the unsavory falling under grace

A new day has begun

A new song, it’s time to praise a new kingdom until I come

No rules to this game, when love is given on the run

Looking back I’m done

The victory is mine after the race has been won

Waging war, not my creed

Not unless you plant and harvest wicked seeds

Living in the light to set my mind free

Just to breath freely to be

Hopefully, you come to feel me

As the essence of me crest, rest, and then flees

Follow the beautiful rainbow in the sky

No more regrets, no time for the whys

However, I still have a soft heart, I cannot deny

When pride is riding high

Refuse to come down, no lie

Reverse, back it up, mmm, drive it in real slow

I miss those words, red flurry handcuffs, bottles of honey, warming massaging oil, so now you know

As they say, that’s the way the wind blows

Janet Jackson says it best, that’s the way love goes

Sentiments have now been buried in the snow
