One more non-rhyming poem, with me they are few and far between. --- I believe this one has all the elements of prose but I could be wrong; it has happened before.

Shall I look on the lighter side of the attic?

It is a better place to visit than the dark;

a better place than that corner of Errors

or the trunk where Dreams are stored.

Shall I throw out the scrapbook made of Wishes?

It was fun to put together but kept getting lost;

I often wondered where it went hiding.

Could it be that I just didn’t look for it?

Oh well, I’ll keep it for awhile longer

as soon as I find it again.

What shall I do with this box of regrets?

They are so depressing to look over.

Maybe Goodwill can find them a home;

someplace where they will fit right in

or maybe they’ll repackage them, individually.

There must be someone who wants them.

You know, Spring Cleaning isn’t much fun;

not like I’d imagined.

So maybe I’ll just leave things be.

There is always next year.
