I LOVE YOU

I wish I knew the words to convey,

How much I love you each and every day.

It doesn’t matter what words I say,

But how I show you in every way.

Words can be easily said, and often are,

And can seem so distant and from afar.

Tones of sarcasm can leave a scar,

Mending it with love removes the mar.

To love you means that in all that I do,

Be it holding your hand or tying your shoe.

Cleaning the house or cooking something new,

It’s done out of love for only you.

Though trials and tribulations can take their toll,

Hand in hand we continue on life’s stroll.

If all we have left is a small piece of coal,

I’ll still love you, my darling, with all my soul.
