Forever Young

I want my training wheels, so that I can pedal backwards to my childhood.

I want my jump rope, so that I can jump away from being an adult.

I want my scooter, so that I can scoot myself into a kindergarten seat.

I want my dodgeball, so that I can dodge the pointing fingers.

I want my chalk, so that I can draw myself a small figure.

I  want my marbles, so that I can shoot away my adulthood.

I want to drink my sippy cup, not worrying about salaries.

I want to drink my juice box, not worrying about calories.

I want to eat my animal crackers, not worrying about being on  crack.

I want to eat my frozen yogurt, not worrying about being sober.

I want to eat my colorful cereal, not worrying about it being a good breakfast.

I want to play on the playground, only knowing this as being social.

I want to play on the swings, only knowing this as being high.

I want to play on the seesaw, only knowing this as being on top.

I want to play with my baby dolls, only knowing this as being maternal

I want to play with my board games, only knowing this as being crucial.
