It was then that she asked me to love her... though, she couldn’t love herself. She wanted me to -need- her... -Needed- me to want her... expected my adulations to have freed her... from the dark places she had wandered in.. and to somehow lead her to a different home... somewhere her mind was at ease and free to roam... She was hoping that if she could see herself through me... as the person that my eyes perceived her to be... then maybe she would start to believe... that she was that person in reality... and could put aside her duality.. be finished with the old banality of her life.
But, it’s these times of strife... what we make it through... they are the forges we are born from ... the molds we are formed from... the whetstones where we sharpen our knives... honing the edges of our lives. I tried to explain that to do so would render all her trials and pain in vain... pointless tales with untouched gains... and underneath, that obstacle would still remain... If she left the flow before it got where it was going, she would never have done the growing... and then I would carry some of the blame... for her never knowing who she could be... without me. Otherwise, she would have been free, not needing any approved decree or validation from me... and could hold herself proudly, confidently...’ I said, logically. But, she scrunched her nose and resented me instead... chose to stay, discontentedly in her head... and went to bed.
