End of a perfect day, sunset on the beach,

The ocean breeze upon my face, restores my vitality.

A home away from home, to reset my mentality,

Finding peace, on a landscape invaded by umbrellas.

Waking up to the sound of the crashing waves,

Salty sea air, sneaks in through the open window.

Watching the sunrise, the sky becomes a painting,

As the city begins to rise, from silence to crescendo.

Nothing but smiles all around, cause how can you

Be sad in a place like this, a little slice of island paradise.

Wanna go back in time, just to experience this twice,

Every summer gets shorter, less time I get to spend here.

A starfish is sunbathing on the sore, resting on a seashell,

I’ve still got a collection of them, sitting right by the desktop.

Watch out for jellyfish, Spongebob has yet to catch them all,

Didn’t think I’d like it here, but I’ve been under its spell.

Won’t be coming back home, I’m on a permanent vacation,

Might lose my house, my job and my car, but I don’t give a fuck.

Fine with staying in the clear blue ocean, with watercolor sunsets,

Resting on the shoreline, with a bit of liquor and an electronic cigarette.

End of a perfect day, sunset on the beach,

The ocean breeze upon my face, restores my vitality.

A home away from home, to reset my mentality,

Finding peace, on a landscape invaded by umbrellas.
