Weave and stitch pieces together,

Intricate colours, emotions like feathers,

A doll full of life

Engrained forever

Create memory to break what’s sewn,

Stitching new parts and fixing old bones,

A doll in the making,

Who has always grown.

Yet! Upon the breaking,

The mending,

The twisting,

There is the shaking and quaking

Sometimes, though, the break’s severe

It feels lost in the fear

The damage may break little doll’s soul,

There’s the point, it’s almost here

Point to break

And time to crash

Not all we were

Was meant to last

Broken doll

In pieces toll

Patched together

Becoming whole

A little broken,

Stitched together

Held in place,

Yet loved forever.
