The metamorphasis of flourescent green to beige and tan,

along the autumn wind

is subtle, yet noticable.

The shift in the sea tide from day to day along the water's edge

breathes life onto the Earth's surface

and we lie in the wake of it all,

a revolution of ourselves.

A blob of regenerated skin cells,

the 50th, or 60th duplicate of a single process called

Mitosis;

are we anything special?

What is life, asked Schrodinger,

among other questions,

and still we have no answer.

Amidst our development we see

the changes in you and me

and grow frightened, wary of what's to come

until we see that life on Earth is comparable

to a simple working bee.

We rage against the dying of the light,

as Dylan Thomas instructs,

to what end? To remain confused here on Earth?

A life outside a physical reality may exist,

yet here we are, trapped, in our ever changing form

gently kissed by this thing called metamorphasis.
