I wanted to experiment with the idea of a statue, as well as, the emotions I was feeling. Thus, this was created.

Statueque

Stone hands

Reaching

Weathered

And cracked

Bricked

From rubble

Calling

For someone

Anyone

To set them

Free

They were

Strong hands

My hands

Catalist

By doubt

Wanting no

More than the

Gentle heat

Of embrace

Barred

And chained

Amongst

My own

Ruling

My soul

Captured

Whether

It be

You

Or me

I cannot

Tell

Your very presence

Much like summer

Rain

Trickling

Down

Bringing with it

Sweet pain

And troubled ecstasy

The reminder

That it is better

To have

Not known

You

Than spend every

Day

Waiting

For my hands

To crack

And grow

To stone

The rain

A relief

Until

I stand

Alone

The whispering blackness

My only companion

And all things

I knew of

Devotion

Cast

Aside

I would throw

Myself down

Shattered

Amongst

My refuge

If I must

Yet

If only, I could

Move

I wish

There is more of gravy

Than of grave

Of me

But

The color

Drains

From my

Lips

With every

Passing

Second

My day

Numbered
