I visited the river

the water raged beauty for me ,

her lips shined with the sun

beneath the shade of the tree .

My mind was a race

to win her heart's every trace ,

to gather the time

that my guilt had misplaced .

I visited the river

I was drawn to his mist ,

that spewed upon the relics

of a long forgotten kiss.

Caught in the center of a maze

a poppy field in a blaze ,

to gather the time

that my guilt had misplaced.

The shadows mislead from me

hiding from the man,

that I've came to be .

I swore to another

so greedy and carefree.

I tucked in my secret

I put it in bed ,

while visions of her love

shined like the most dreadful red .

The blade of truth

plunged in my back ,

for lieng to his heart

that was so gently attacked .

I swore to another

In the twin of the summer ,

while visions of his eyes

of flames raged in his plunder .

I visited the river

the water murky and dark ,

I anchored my feet with a stone

and the weight of her heart.

I envisioned her lips

so tasteful and sweet ,

love shining with the sun

beneath the shade of that tree.

I visited the river

the water murky and dark,

I anchored my feet with a stone

and the weight of his heart.

I envisioned his touch

his hold tight and secure,

why this note crumbles away

only heaven is sure.

We visited the river

to find the sliver of the truth ,

as the water raged beauty

over the cold bodies of two..
