Pop!

My self-respect,

self-belief,

you took them

like a skilful thief.

Self-confidence

has been collected;

I, myself,

have been rejected.

Collect them up,

set to explode

and set me on that

downward road.

Light the fuse,

watch it burn,

a fool I was

to never learn

then....

POP!

All gone,

just emptiness,

a vacuum

that I must confess

might be better

than to feel

all those things

that were not real.
