The innocence of a child cannot be quite explained,
It must be heard in their words in all their childhood days,
Like the way a child prays and thanks God for the day,
Or like when during song time they sing loudest at the chorus,
Even Jesus knew children were special
For he has said
Unless you become like one of these children you surely will not enter heaven
Oh what I would give to be a child again
To have no doubts or worries all the livelong day
To be able to make friends in mere seconds
This is what innocence looks like to me.

The innocence of a child cannot be quite explained
It must be seen in their actions in all their childhood days
The way they love their parents and hug them no matter who sees
Or how they put aside all differences to make friends
Even Jesus loved the innocence of a child
For he has said
Let the little children come to me
Oh what I would give to be a child again
To be able to act goofy and wild and not be judged
To be able to hang off my father’s leg in the kitchen
This is what innocence looks like to me.
