A A A | A A A

Maybe one day the strings will break

One day perhaps the symphony will hush

A hole might be left instead of a lake

All those pages will be covered in dust

And the sky will turn pitch black

All the mountains will be hills

The ships from the waves will wreck

Pills will be swallowed instead of meals

That day will be the day you leave

The day I forget all about your sweet words

I won't be tugging anymore at your sleeve

I'll stop being a slave to these chords.
