The light breaks through the cracks on the wall

The all that was all I ever knew

Rays of light make the bricks crumble and fall

And now the reality is brand new

It all fell down into a pile of rust

And now I don't know what to believe anymore

My truth, shattered, already in dust

It's all crumbled into the floor

I raise my head and a shiver goes down my spine

Beyond the wall there was a whole new life

It seems real and complicated but sublime

And this one doesn't pierce like a knife.

I take one step at a time

Trying to make this last

For finally my life is mine

And everything else is in the past.
