Satan’s Desperation

When nothing’s left

One’s dying breath

Dignified without words final

There’s no denial

Beneath the walls

No one to catch, feel the fall, feel the toil.

The desire to be held

A moment in time

The taste of wine

Lemon and lime, and all of life’s pleasures and desires.

I’m trapped; we’re trapped together but alone, confined by our wrong-doings,

Albeit some like you have done nothing wrong…

Yet we’ve come undone

Will we ever feel the beating heat of the sun?

The dignity lost, just a glimpse and time to reminisce.

Trapped, oppressed, why can’t me be me?

Just let me see the light of day

Freedom seems so far away….
