The Rain danced over the water as it fell

Softly in the night by the moonlight

I sat at the edge waiting ... waiting ... waiting

But the love I needed never showed up

My heart fell upon the realization

That my love was unrequited

I felt like running as far away

To leave the pain behind

Yet, no matter where I went

The pain of heartbreak follows

My toes slightly touch the water

As I sit there at the edge quietly

Wondering what I do next

Do I take this heartbreak and run

Do I take this heartbreak and learn

Learn to love again

Deeply and heartfelt love

A love that lasts a lifetime

As the rain falls, my tears began to follow

I begin my journey of healing!
