On the road to nowhere,

the path is paved with dreams.

The trees burn from rage,

planting the seeds of life;

the bushes shiver from fear,

and I stand in the middle there,

surrounded by it all.

A snake hiss troubles the forest,

an apple falls:

Dare I touch it?

There's beauty in the destruction,

a truth in the lie,

and on the road to nowhere they converge,

and I confide

in the mystery.
