Internal inferno building slow and sweet

Churning with blistering burning heat

The scalding chaos surrounds my heart

I’ve lifted away too many scars torched by that flame

When I heave back you’ve only yourself to blame.

Lest my wrath sees a trueness of solace in thy soul

Don’t try my game it isn’t yours to follow.

I’ve longed once for some revelry in a land of love

It burnt only once then it chilled tomorrow.

The casting of the mold set its place.

There is nothing left but the shell of grace.

When dark sets upon a soul, does it singe, bleed, or burn?

Seething fire underneath a frosted breath of devil’s teeth

Gnashing and gnawing at the wound of regret

The day comes when you’ll pay your debt.
