ENLIGHTENED OR DILUSIONAL

THIS IS THE QUESTION

BUT WHO THE HELL REALLY CARES

IT WORKS FOR ME.

I am 10  years of age in grade six. My school desk is 2/3 the way down the window row and I can see out over the tarmack of the inner play ground and across the property to a line of trees beyond which spreads the baseball and soccer field, neither of which I ever got to experience because the jerk teacher who was also the sports coach said I was too small to and slow to join the teams.

I use to sit at my desk, muti-tasking, listening to whatever Mrs. Green was teaching and absorbing the information, designing elaborate race car tracks filled in with cityscapes and most important to me now, staring out the window into the world of imagination which I became so absorbed in it was, at times as though I was actually there. In later years I learned about a state of existence called Windriding aka Astral travelling.

I realized at that ripe old age I had been doing that since I discovered classroom windows and many teachers literally tried to beat the phenomenon out of me, with straps and once a sound smash on the top of my head that nearly knocked me out. Contrary to that I had two wonderful teachers who nutured my imagination and allowed me to explore it. I wrote a ton of stories in those years and designed dozens of race tracks, all of which were thrown in the garbage by a teacher I will not mention by name since they have passed on and are not that person anymore.

BooHoo.

I went on to live my life much different than most people I know and some would call it by many names, Gypsy, vagabond, drifter, hobo…etc.

I made my way in life exploring several different life styles. I was a soldier and a sailor, a fence riding cowboy on horseback, a mou8ntain man and climber, magazine developer, artist and musician, to mention some of the paths I travelled. I even when to cooking school and often worked as a cook in restaurants. But mostly I was a musician who worked any kind of venue available at the moment and created 3 self produced albums which over the course of my career sold well, mostly because people bought it directly from me, except the last one which my wife of now produced and publish back in 2008, which amazingly is still available over the net.

Now I am sixty seven years of age and back staring out the window, living part of my senior years in that imagination world and writing down the stories I discover there.

I live with my beautiful fibre artist wife, Mary and our seven dogs on an Island in a beautiful century farm house situated on 2 acres of land which I maintain as a private walking park, complete with open spaces, woods and a magical forest that embraces our house.

My late life goal is to keep writing my quirky little short stories and share them with anyone who wants to experience the fun house of my imagination.

Life is good.
