static electricity pulses thru my eyelashes
subtle confusion tickles my capillaries
curiosity illuminates the ocean of my mind

i fear that only a mystery will quench this thirst

an embarrassing amount of dust has collected on the cover of the paperback next to my bed

an inexplicable amount of dirt has collected underneath my unpainted fingernails

i dont bite them anymore

my skin is heavy like a dream
a dream about swimming in a cave
a cave full of jewels
jewels that are precious to no one

in the muggy grasses
i hear the curses of the crickets

thru feverish moonlight
i am screaming at the milky way
