I really need to talk with you.

You are the vessel my life is flowing through.

I know you just want to play games,

And have fun like all the other kids at school

But it's hard for you to hold conversation.

Always worried that they knew.

Always trying to hide that you were so blue.

For such a little girl, you handled it well.

You did what you had to do.

Looking back now, I think you're pretty cool.

I know your every inhibition.

It's not you, it's just me in this situation.

Sometimes you'll feel like weeping.

Just know it's alright,

And there will be friends out there worth keeping.

Baby girl, wipe your eyes.

Don't you cry tonight.

Oh, little girl, little girl,

It'll be alright.

I'll be honest as you can handle.

These feelings will never go away,

But you're stronger than you feel,

You'll keep it handled most days.

Sometimes you'll be awoken when you're sleeping

From horrors in the dark- hiding, speaking.

But when he's there in your dreams,

Know nothing is what it seems.

Open up and let someone in.

Talk to them and listen.

I know you trust no one but some people care.

Let them hear your screams.

You're a tough girl, don't be scared.

Baby girl, wipe your eyes.

Don't you cry tonight.

Oh, little girl, little girl,

It'll be alright.

Your heart will feel like stone.

Hard, heavy and all alone.

Your tears will fall like razor blades.

Don't pick them up to hurt your pretty face.

Sometimes you'll feel like weeping,

Frightened when you're sleeping.

But you will find a strength inside.

Not all of you has withered and died.

Once you come to know this

You'll be stronger than you've ever known before.

Fortified to the core.

Baby girl, wipe your eyes.

Don't you cry tonight.

Oh, little girl, little girl,

It'll be alright.

You are just a little girl,

Who shouldn't have had to go through this.

If I could, I'd take away his taunted kiss.

You're so strong thinking

Better you than your best friend,

But baby girl, I know you feel sullied.

Trust me, I know the whole story.

But you have done nothing wrong.

Little girl,

With all that you've gone through on your own,

It's hard to take a compliment.

But look and you'll find you are smart, beautiful and kind.

Baby girl, wipe your eyes.

Don't you cry tonight.

Oh, little girl, little girl,

It'll be alright.
