You might find that my memories get their way.

I keep adding and they keep growing,

Like fear devours its prey.

But it is here in my dreams

And I just can't get away.

The bold face lies burning in your eyes-

They strap me to the reality of today.

I'm watching you from the scope of my demise

Faced with the ultimate question:

Do I drag you down with me

Or do I die with this filty obstruction

Filtering your lies?

Your light may never shine on my accustomed ways.

I keep adding to those putrid recalls,

Like poison surging through its prey.

It is clear, oh so clear.

The more I adhere to this delusion

The more I build up the conclusion of my fear-

And I trust no one.

It's not clear from where I stand,

Aiming between your ears

I'm watching you from the scope of my demise.

Do I die and drag you down with me

Or do I save your life?
