It had started out as such a good for Tangi. She had woken up early and instead of going to work, she had the entire day to do as she pleased. You see, Tangi was a Galactic officer and most times, the word day off was not in her vocabulary. But, today it was, so she had planned to do all sorts of fun things. She had a season's pass to the Intergalactic hover-roller derby and she was not about to waste it, seeing as her favorite racer, Ruby Slitter was competing. Before leaving the house, she took one last look in the mirror. Two, bright purple eyes stared back at her, framed by the dark pink skin and shoulder-length purple hair. Tangi double checked that her face was clean and then ran out the door to catch the shuttle. She was looking forward to a day of roller derby and greasy stadium food. As Tangi settled into her shuttle seat, she had no worries for the day. But of course, nothing ever goes as planned for a galactic officer. Only minutes after the race ended, she got a call from her commander. " I'm sorry to disturb you on your day off, Tangi," he said. " But we really need you to come in. We have an extremely delicate situation going on down here." Tangi ducked into an alleyway to get some more privacy. " whats the situation chief?" she asked. Her commanding officer sighed and replied, " We just revived word from the Galactic Council that one of the most important artifacts from there collection has gone missing. We caught sight of a masked assailant leaving the building only moments after the robbery. Some of our officers are already in pursuit, so check the news to get the location. Due to the severity of the robbery, the council has declared the situation a code Mother Ship" Tangi nodded her head and thanked her chief before hanging up and checking the Holonet for the latest news on the chase.

The video showed at least 7 police hover cars in pursuit of a masked figure on a hover-cycle. Tangi paused for a second. "That robber looks familiar," she thought. Tangi zoomed in on the figure. "It can't be her," she whispered. " why would she come back after all this time, just to steal some artifact?" Tangi raced to the nearest public restroom to change into her uniform, before running out and grabbing the fastest shuttle to the 42nd Galactic police station. As she arrived, Tangi was greeted by her best friend, and partner, Lorena Gladstone. Lorena was intimidating, to say the least. With her tall, muscled figure, silent personality and sharp gaze, she could make even the worst criminal whimper in fear. Her red hair was pulled into a high ponytail and contrasted perfectly with her black skin and green eyes. The moment Tangi arrived at the station, Lorena was pulling her towards the nearest police cruiser. No words needed to be exchanged between the two, as their partnership went beyond that. Tangi hopped in the driver's seat, and the moment Lorena was inside, she sped off onto the magnaroad, sirens blaring as they joined the chase. Minutes later, they had actually managed to catch up with the fleeing vehicle and maintained pursuit, until they managed to corner the ship inside an abandoned parking structure. Looking around, Tangi noticed that none of the other cruisers had caught up yet. She un-holstered her stun ray and motioned to Lorena to do the same.

Silently the two cops walked into the parking structure and slowly approached the ship. It was quiet, to quiet almost. Tangi turned to Lorena. " I'll go in on the right," she said. " You come and in from the right and cover me. We might have to fight for our lives here". Lorena looked confused. " I know who owns this ship" Tangi elaborated. " Her name is Viper. She's a..." Tangi paused as if trying to remember something important. Failing to do so, she continued "What matters is that we retrieve the relic safety. But be careful. We might have her outnumbered, but she's always been unpredictable". With that, they both moved closer to the ship, weapons charged and ready to fire. Suddenly, the large, metal door silently slides open, and a ramp folded down to the floor of the complex. A thick wall of smoke obscured the two cops view of the doorway. Then they heard footsteps, making their way to the ramp with a striking confidence. As the smoke lifted, the figure at the top was revealed.
