You fill me like poison, a shot straight to the heart–

Adrenaline. Now it has  come to this again.

This is no new narrative–there have been others

Before you: a string of them leaving strings of kisses

Down my neck and my arms and the length of my legs.

Oh, but you are seductive. You want to see me

In my silks and nylons,  you want to trace

The lace on my thighs and my hips, but your lips

Are elusive. Why must you tempt me so?

You would take me–sometimes I think I want you.

Sometimes I think you tease. I may be

An introvert, but still I flirt with you.

We danced one night on the roof, that hesitant step–

I almost fell for you then, Number Ten.
