Swaying together,

Like practiced dancers

Brushing lightly together

Creating a harmonious rustle.

Side by side they stand,

Silent and stately,

In a thousand neat rows,

Waiting for the unseen signal.

The intro begins slowly,

A stirring crescendo, then a gentle push,

The silent music of the wind

Starts them off.

They sway and dip

Till, with the dancers' final bows,

The heavenly players, now weary,

Bring the music to a silent end.
