Thank you, New York City; my hometown.

What a night of burning fire,

You gave me all that I desire.

To have you here so close to me,

A sight that’s unforgettably.

The warmest day; the freshest night,

Making love at such a height.

The skyscraper and the view,

The perfect night I spent with you.

I felt so happy; I felt so pretty,

We’ll always have New York City.

Where all my dreams did come true,

And it was all because of you.

Endless pleasure; endless laughter,

A drunken night and much thereafter.

You gave me peace; you gave me bliss,

Ardent ecstasy from your kiss.

I was your queen; at least that night,

Our time in New York I will hold tight.

And I’ll look back on you and me,

In Manhattan; Floor: forty-three.

They always say that your heart will never be fulfilled until you return home. This is some of the most passionate writing I have seen from you. It tells that New York meant so much to you, and I am so happy to see you in this mood. This is you smiling with your heart, and it is beautiful. See more days like this, and you will be the highest skyscraper in New York. This poem has come deeply from your heart, and the image of New York is inside every heartbeat you take. You show love for something, and this is the passionate reactions that you get. What a beautiful poem with gorgeous imagery. So Pro of you Lisbeth :)

flowed like hot lava pouring out of a volcano..You speak pretty much in a past tense as if it was a fantastic night that may not be repeated.Reminds me of the great old beach boys song of the 60's called "What A Night".....in part...What a Lady What A Night...I didn't even know her name...
Loved the sincerity of this poem..

Thank you very much for your kind comment :) It was a fantastic night that I doubt I'd ever have again.

In love & life, and bliss you play... So rich, so full, so lively, gay!
My friend, your words do help me fly; Off, away, to work, to try...
To make a difference, be the one; Underneath the parching sun!
