Three eyes closed, and one opens
Opens to see the end of days
Casting words of wisdom, words of truth
Before resting beneath the grave

Two eyes closed and both stray
Finding comfort, seeking praise
Different paths of no success
Serving the world, becoming prey

Two lids shut, and both clench
Lost in darkness, shadowed shade
Blue and green, buried black
A youthful soul, unmade

But what is darkness,
without light

Two eyes closed, and one peeks
Hearing words of wisdom, words of truth
From the world and from the heart
Claiming joy, holding peace

One eye closed, a slave to sin
Wishing to never see again
But the peeking eye calls
and the closed eye sees

One's pain became three
and three cries became one
One death became all
and with hope we have won
