I’m just a ghost,

A painful memory.

I’m fading fast

And soon you’ll all see;

I’m one moment here,

The next moment gone.

Thin as the mist,

Thick as the fog.

I’m no longer real as you’ll soon believe.

You can no longer see the person I used to be.

For she has disappeared into the crisp morning air.

I no longer have a hold of life so precious as gold

But I must decline;

For I was never meant for this world

All cut and shining.

For a girl of so much;

The world meant nothing.

So on the wings of a knife,

I found my true meaning;

It was the color of red,

So pure

And so true,

That gave me a meaning

As powerful as you.
