Hopping and leaping, Frog and Toad welcome the day, together as friends.

"The differences between us," Toad said to Frog one time at evening sup, "is very much as falling off a log. Who would ever seek to seek it?"

Jumping and creeping, Hare meets Tortoise within the starting of the race, one given for some confusing reason every season.

Always quick to win, Hare rushes in, as Tortoise moves forward with his usual slow and steady pace, and when he'd finished well before Hare, Tortoise stopped to wait.

All the others who had cheered had left as the sun went down, and as Hare crossed the  finish line, Tortoise turned to his companion in life at that time, the one of racing forward however you might do it, saying in his slow, halting way, "no winners or losers Hare...simply glad that we both are here..."
