The universe is not a place

The universe is a state of mind.

It is a never ending puzzle

And each piece is a living organism.

Where do you fit into it all?

Are you stuck at the edges

That is giving us shape and meaning?

Or perhaps, you are stuck in the middle,

Holding us all together tightly.

What if you are an extra piece?

You may feel like you don't fit in

To our strange puzzle universe,

That you are just a lonely little piece

Left to dust in the bottom of the box.

My darling! No need to worry.

The Universe has room for all

Who come in and inhabit it.

It will always make room for you

And give you a home.

And the little guys?

Even the smallest puzzle piece

Left out of the infinite picture

Would leave the puzzle incomplete

And would leave an empty space.

Always remember:

Your puzzle piece is very important

In keeping the universe intact and whole.

Do the rest of us puzzle pieces a favor,

Please hold us together and give us shape.
