I am too small for this kind of love...

I am afraid; I’m in despair,

Tell me, my love, will you be there?

To hold and caress me at moment’s need?

To aid my heart so it won’t bleed.

To dry up my tears and dry up the rain,

From your embrace I cannot abstain.

I am afraid to need you this much,

I am afraid of craving your touch.

I fear the hours and every minute,

I fear my life without you in it.

I dread the days when you’re not here,

I hate the thought that you’re not near.

But I’m afraid of not having you around,

Yes, afraid, cliché it may sound.

But it’s the truth, the one I can’t bear,

The truth of this love that I want to share.

Isn't this the kind of love every woman romances about, fantasize about. Go with the beautiful flow of it, embrace it, cherish it, hide yourself in the feelings of it, but don't begin to doubt it, if you do, then you lose the true essence that made you fall for it in the beginning. Remember, we women invented the word love, and all the passion, and the desires that accompanies it. Fly dove, be free, and embrace the gentle wind.

Love and Hugs,
Kemy

Thank you very much, Kemy for the heartfelt advice. It is quite scary sometimes, especially for me, I get easily attached. Thank you for reading, dear friend. Xoxo!

Love is scary, Lis. Especially when we give ourselves completely and feel we are being short-changed. Beautiful poem.

An honest confession that is true for so many of us at some point in our lives... be it romantic love, love for a child or parent, or even a dear friend. It is the fear of loss and, as always, you express it so vividly. Well done, JB, nice job!

So much truth in this, jaylisbeth. To love is to open yourself to a risk of hurt.

This is like being a person who is not religious, like me, but even if it meant praying to keep this love, then it is a sacrifice worth giving. You feel scared that it may drift off, and that puts paranoia into your heart. Hold onto what you have, because in these feelings you can say anything, and they will be near. Never use paranoia, because love will drift away from you. Hold onto every piece, because at the beginning you grabbed it, so dont let those pieces of paper fly away, put them inside the bottle instead. This is beautiful and passionate, and be human, not the ghost. This is excellent Lisbeth. Are you still waiting for my romantic piece? :)

Melancholic Wisdom

Love is one of the most scary experiences, you're giving everything to someone and asking them not to ruin you completely. Especially in the ecstasy of new love, can also come all of the doubt. Wonderful poem, well done!

Beautiful, Lis. It has the same beauty your last poem also has. Lovely, heartfelt words that carry a sense of fear, but a greater sense of dedication and aspiration.
Such beautiful words, my friend. The kind of love some of us can only dream of, but others can achieve. I hope you find that kind of love, my dear.
