In a fit of passion, Clarisse smashed her pencil tip into the paper, scribbling what could only be the angriest love letter she'd ever written. Only rage could describe how her pencil tip etched seething words, loving words, confused words, along the lines of binder paper. He'd hurt her in ways no one had ever done before, loved her in ways no one ever could again. The subject of her letter, this incident, would forever be sketched into her mind and for that reason tears for her shattered innocence stained the edges of her paper. Both her therapist and lawyer assured her a letter, her victim's statement, would bring closure, even when she wasn't quite sure what closure meant.
