You are a 64-count crayon box
So many tints
So many shades
Just one black
Just one white
And so many in-betweens

But if I told you I love only violet
Would you hide your oranges and grays?
Become a box of 64 purples
All to please me
A life without contrast or hues

No, I would not want that
For you are a coffer of spectrums
An artist of emotions
And they need you to emblazon the blank spaces of their hearts
For if time melts you away like wax under the sun
They will remember you not for the colors you held
But rather for the colors you gave
