“I love the way the moon let’s the sun rest.

I am the sun

I can only hope to find my moon.

Let me rest my soul upon your night.

Face the darkness for me whilst I sleep.

Talk to the stars about me.

Tell them how you look forward to the morning time so that you may watch me rise from the dimness of the night sky.

From nowhere to somewhere in the blink of an eye.

The moon doesn’t compare to the sun in size but it always has enough space for the sun to provide. To lay. To recharge for the next day.

Moon you awe at how I bring luster to this planet.

This is why you can only leave me to slumber for 9 hours.

For the next 15 it is my time to shine.

But you moon, you never sleep.

My light keeps you during the day

Then at night you give me rest and never complain

They say the core of the sun can reach 27 million degrees.

But my moon, you are still not afraid to get to close.

Maybe that is why, like everyone else the moon too, goes thru phases.

You start with only revealing part of yourself

But then,

The fire of the sun sparks change in you, and you always end up full.

One day I will find my moon and I too will rest.

And then maybe I will shine....”
