The Keeper Of The Clock

I am the keeper of the Doomsday Clock,

I make it tick, I make it tock

but it’s hands I keep in line;

for should they both point to the twelve

you’ll have run out of time.

Two minutes to, that’s what it says,

my mind will hold it steady,

but should that midnight ever come

be sure that you are ready.

That will be the world’s ending,

a global catastrophe;

the one that breaks the clock apart

is no one else but me.

A sensory-overload that puts

my head to spin

will tear apart the cogs the gears

that it does hold within.

Time and space will split apart,

all lives will be off kilter

for existence is impossible

without some kind of filter.

I am the keeper of the Doomsday Clock,

within my hands, your fate;

be careful those hands stay apart

before it is too late.
