I exited my quarters and walked out onto the boat.I breathed in a breath of fresh air,and smelled the sweet scent of the sea.The air felt so pure out here,so clean and natural. It's hard to describe it.Its hard to describe how the ocean can be so simple yet so interesting.A week ago i was dreading having to go on this trip.I thought it was stupid,I thought the ocean was stupid.I remember saying how boring the ocean was , how it was full of nothing.Just a bunch of water. But now i get it,after weeks of school and homework and sports,it's nice to be somewhere that's simple and peaceful.I dont think ive ever been this relieve. All stress has left my body.I've stopped worrying about anything, not a single care i the world.I've wasted hours just watching the waves splash up and down ,and the fish swimming around in the clear blue water.Listening to the sounds of birds flying overhead, and the gentle blow of the wind. Now i get why people can spend weeks at sea.I understand why people used to go on dangerous expeditions that they had no idea if they would survive. Its because the ocean is the most peaceful thing. It's nice to have a little bit of peace.I could sit her forever ,just thinking and dreaming and listening. But the trip will be over in a few days, and then i'll have to go back to school and be stressed again. It's crazy to think that this is the same trip i was begging not to go on,coming up with any excuse i could think of,saying i was scared of the water. But now i don't want to leave,I would give anything to stay.Looking backsomeofmy greatest memories are things I didn't want to do,i guess this isn't the first time. But now i am so glad i came. It's unbelievable how peaceful it is here.
