Across The Bay

Grass,

my seat,

on cliff-top high,

the wind

a gentle breeze;

I sit here

all alone,

to gaze across

the sea.

The waves

lap in

between the land

filling up

the bay.

The distance really

not so far,

I guess it is

okay.

Those mountains

swathed in

hazy mist;

I guess I could

walk there

if I could find

the energy

to leave

this salty air

behind.
