Silence is NOT Golden

She is better off

Just keeping her mouth shut.

Lock away that secret

Burn that damn key.

Bury it six feet under,

Pray

That it turns to dust.

Because,

If you speak,

You are weak.

If you cry,

You are overreacting.

If you ask for help,

He would never do that.

This list goes on

Building as high as the shame

You feel you need to bare.

Your face is still bruised

Your knees scraped,

From when you fell

To the floor.

Your dignity smashed

And you’re so lost,

Alone,

Judged.

But YOU know what happened.

That fucking bastard.
