She was only 6 when she woke up sick,

It had happened so quick her parents didn’t know what to think,

The plastic bag around her neck,

Suffocating her every breath,

The little girl woke in the utmost distress,

Her sweat staining her little blue dress,

It wouldn’t come off no matter how hard she fought,

She couldn’t give up, that's what her parents had taught,

As they gazed through the bag at their daughter's face,

The light passed from her eyes as she gave up the chase.
