In a perfect world, I would speak with eloquence, in time with the universe.

I would allow myself to be passionate and to write, truly write.

I would understand what it is to pursue love within myself.

In a perfect world, I would end suffering with my heart

and hunger with my hands.

There's a special sort of sadness woven in the strands of time.

In a perfect world, I would not worry or shake or sleep for years of my life.

There would be enough of myself left.

In a perfect world,

I would not cower, break, or bend

I would not seek to reach the end of fear.

I would take in the beauty and cry unapologetically because of it - for this is what it is to love -

And in my memory I bury this universe of sorrow I have created for myself.

And in the morning I wake.

Tormented.
