Kind Of Dead.

There is one memory. Just one. The truck, hurtling towards me, going too fast to stop. The blare of the horn! I can still feel the echo in my head, a jarring vibration.

Not enough time to get out of the way.

Pain, I don’t remember; but the sensation of being sent flying through the air I can recall, perhaps because that was the only time I ever flew in my life.

For, there is one thing I am sure of. And that is that I’m dead.

No sensations. No sight, no sound, no smell, no taste and no feelings. Nothing at all. Any empty void, that’s me.

I cannot move my body at all, not even a flick of a finger, a flutter of an eyelash. Do I even have a body any more? Not so far as I can tell.

Am I sad? The honest answer – I feel absolutely nothing.

The flying....the truck...they are fading too. Empty, blackness, a drifting into....nothing!

Kind of....dead!
