The moon hung low in the dark expanse.

The sky flooded with clouds, attempting to hide the brightness of the floating object.

Tiny specks of light struggle to make themselves known while others succumb to the thick blanket of clouds.

The moon poised as a perfectly sliced lemon.

The bright, yellow exterior became darker as it reached the center,

revealing the man textures of the surface.

As I watched this magnificent scene, dark clouds inched between the moon and I.

The mass gathered its strength and soon hid the floating beauty.

Once again,

I am alone in the darkness.
