Sitting back And all the Princess could do was watch as the Only reasons for her existence slip away further and further from her reach. Time never seemed to stop in her absence. Losing precious time, the time she knew she could never get back. She was trying to cope with the repercussions of the choices she made. Choices she could never fully regret. The princess did everything in her power to salvage the little they had left, to save crook. He was the one she chose to blame, because of crook she too was an addict. She tried to hide the obvious tracks on her skin. The poison she chose to inject in her veins. Knowing it is only a matter of time before her secret got out and she too lost all That she had left. The princess would Never be able to forgive herself for letting this drug consume her. For letting it destroy her life. The Princess knew she had been Doomed. Even from the start. Why couldn't they accept her fate? Instead, they fought so hard to save her. When all she ever wanted was to let go. The princes went home with nothing left to lose. She sat alone in the dark as her life flashed before her eyes. It took everything she had to survive this long, and it was all in vain. There was no one left who could possibly take away the pain she still had inside. Why was she still Holding on to the memory of who crook was? The life they shared together. The only life she ever wanted. Why did it seem impossible to erase the memory from her heart? The person she knew he could never be again. Why couldn't crook give her the answers to all the questions she still had. Why couldn't he give her the closure she needed. She wondered why it felt more like she was mourning his death. She knew that things happened for a reason, but she would never fully understand why crook always choose to walk away. She often questioned her faith. Losing hope in everything she ever believed in. What possible explanation could there be to justify everything she had endured? Why bring Crook into her life only to rip them apart? Give her the joy of conceiving babies she would never get the chance to meet? What kind of God puts someone through that kind of torture? More pain than anyone deserved. The princess struggled to beat this sadness. Charming promised he would never walk away, but he did what crook did best and he made walking away seem like nothing. Making it a game to Play with her hearts remains. she hoped he was the one to Finally prove her wrong. That being Faithful is something people still value.
The princess let The walls she spent an eternity to build crumble so quickly beneath her. Unguarded, she trusted Crook with her heart. The very heart he vowed to protect. The same Heart that he ripped from her chest, and like a prisoner at the chance of freedom he ran without ever looking back
