"I thought when You came that I would be ready. That You would be embraced.

Instead my house (my Heart) was a mess. Others before You had left it in pieces.

The attic (my Mind) was full of old baggage (their memories) and it has so many leaks (notions of what I thought of You).

The foundation (my Belief in You) was the worst of all. I treaded lightly in fear of it crumbling beneath my feet.

When You let Yourself in. I scurried to the closest mess to sweep it under the rug.

You walked up to where I was and got down on bended knee. I feared of what else I was hiding from You. But instead You just began to clean up the mess in my broken home."
