Singing in the shower to Paula Cole she let her real life be her fantasy

She reveled in all the scents around her as she washed her face with satin mint, her hair with lavender,

And the rest of her body smelled good enough to eat revived by lemongrass and Tahetian Renewal

She had a new ritual only it wasn’t steeped in the past but a cleansing of the soul

It wasn’t an escape she was looking for it was pure ecstasy that brought her here

She wasn’t looking for herself she just finally touched down from the sky and settled into her own skin

The night was bright with Jupiter on one side and Venus on the other

A night like no other

She had his interest from the moment she walked in the door and he had hers

Oh, he’s always had hers…

Since the stroke of his pen on paper and the strum of his guitar

She no longer wondered where all the cowboys had gone

He stole the show by rocking her planet every night

As she thought about her life she recognized the beauty was in all of the details

She was living the kind of life she had always dreamed of

As she turned off the waterfall and patted her pampered skin dry she looked in the mirror

And smiled at herself

What a bountiful smile

Out of the corner of her eye she saw her guy

And she felt that sweet chill of a feeling when you hear a song you’ve always longed to
