Infatuation is Real Love: That’s Versatility!

I’m sorry that I have

good shoulders on my

head, and

I fell in love again, the

subjective is my denominator with

a numerator of zero, I’m

waiting for my busy tone to end, just

keep calling myself but

I haven’t hung up yet.

So,

please don’t tell me,

but instead

belly bounce from

wall to wall again, until

the late nights with

Zoloft, cranberry juice, and

deep breathing, end.

I’m chewing on elephant bones,

hoping for a wish to wish,

or maybe even a

headless deity to fish, all while

my good shoulders

continue to sprout

above my head, but

trust me, not because

I’m trustworthy or because

I can put a spin on the

idiom, but because

I know that I know nothing[1]

just like you,

and that’s what it means

to have a high

EQ[2].

[1] reference to the Socratic paradox.

[2] emotional intelligence, defined in detail by Daniel Goleman in his book Emotional Intelligence (1995).
